Today we had our first presentations :) Afterwards we took notes on Macromolecules: Proteins. No HW.
Tues: Macromolecules Notes: Carbohydrates. No HW
Wed: Project work day: Scientist Props & Acessories Today I introduced macromolecules. We took some notes and then created a polymer! SLIME!!
We finished Bohr models and talked about the 6 main properties of water. No hw. Have a nice weekend!
Today I passed out our new packet: Chemistry of Life. We took a few notes on atoms, molecules and compounds and discussed the periodic table. We worked on pages 9 and 10 as well.
Today we took our first quiz and turned in the Intro to Bio packet. Monday we will be in the computer lab again finishing our Biologist papers. All papers are due: Monday, September 29th!
Today we worked in the computer lab researching a Biologist for the Scientist-for-a-day project. We will be in the lab researching information for the paper and presentation tomorrow and Monday as well.
Today was the last day to complete labs and to finish all pages in the packet. I introduced the Scientist-for-a-Day Project. Tomorrow and Thursday we will be in the computer lab doing some research on our scientist. Friday the pink intro packet is due and we have our first quiz.
Today we introduced the parts of a microscope (pg. 26 & 27), how to properly handle a microscope and how to prepare a slide. Afterwards we worked on the microscope lab.
